Beyond work

Slow travel, fast slopes.

The best way to see a town, I think, is on foot or by bike. Going slowly gives you time to notice things, and that's where the memories come from. Skiing is the opposite: the exhilarating part of an otherwise slow winter. My favourite so far is the mountains around Almaty, Kazakhstan.
